1. Who we are

PrepArc (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the PrepArc website and study service. For any privacy question, contact us at support@preparc.app.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

• Account information: your email address and password when you create an account. Authentication is handled by Supabase.
• Communications: messages you send us (for example, support emails).

Information created as you use the Service

• Practice activity: the questions you attempt, the answers you select, whether they were correct, and related progress and performance data. This powers your stats and progress dashboard.
• Technical data: basic log and device information such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps, collected by our hosting provider to keep the Service running and secure.

Payment information

If you subscribe to Premium, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not collect or store your full card number. Stripe provides us with limited billing details (such as your customer and subscription identifiers and subscription status) so we can manage your subscription.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to operate the Service. We do not use cookies to sell your data or to build advertising profiles. You can control cookies through your browser, but blocking essential cookies may stop you from signing in.

4. How we use information

• to provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
• to create and manage your account and save your progress;
• to process and manage Premium subscriptions and billing;
• to respond to your requests and provide support;
• to keep the Service secure and prevent abuse or fraud;
• to comply with legal obligations.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the Service, and only as needed:

• Stripe — payment processing and subscription management;
• Supabase — authentication and database storage of your account and practice data;
• Vercel — hosting and delivery of the Service.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

6. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and as required to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information, except where we must retain it by law.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise these rights — including deleting your account — by contacting support@preparc.app. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

8. Children’s privacy

The Service is intended for users 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, and we rely on established providers (Supabase, Stripe, Vercel) that maintain their own security programs. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. International users

We operate in the United States, and your information may be processed and stored there or in other countries where our providers operate. By using the Service, you understand your information may be transferred to locations with different data-protection laws than your own.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
