Free SAT practice
Free ways to practice for the digital SAT
Bluebook, Khan Academy, and PrepArc are all free. Each one is good at something different, and they work well together.
At a glance
Bluebook
College Board's official full-length practice tests, in the same app as the real SAT.
Khan Academy
A free course made with College Board, with lessons and practice for every skill.
PrepArc
Extra practice by skill, timed modules, and 10 more full-length adaptive tests.
Bluebook
College Board's testing app. You take the SAT in Bluebook, and its practice tests are free.
Good for
Official full-length practice tests. They adapt the same way the SAT does, in the same app.
What you get
Sign in with a College Board student account and your scores show up in My Practice. You can review each question with your answer, the correct answer, and an explanation.
Test preview
A short set of questions to try the tools. It's untimed and isn't scored.
Paper tests
College Board also has free full-length tests as PDFs. They don't adapt, and they're meant for students who will test on paper with accommodations.
Keep in mind
Bluebook runs on a Windows laptop or tablet, a Mac laptop, an iPad, or a school-managed Chromebook. It doesn't run on phones or personal Chromebooks. There's a set number of official tests, so save one for close to test day.

Khan Academy
Official SAT Prep on Khan Academy is a free course made with College Board.
Good for
Learning a skill you're unsure of. The course covers every skill on the test at 3 levels (Foundations, Medium, and Advanced).
What you get
Lessons, short videos, thousands of practice questions with hints, quizzes, and a Course Challenge that covers every skill.
With Bluebook
After a Bluebook practice test, the Practice on Khan Academy button in My Practice opens a walk-through of every question on that test, with links to lessons.
Keep in mind
Full-length practice tests are in Bluebook, not on Khan Academy.

PrepArc
A free practice site built by students, with 4,328 original questions and an explanation for each.
Good for
Extra practice on exactly what you need. Pick a section, domain, skill, or difficulty, or practice everything.
Timed modules
27 Reading and Writing questions in 32 minutes, or 22 Math in 35. That's the count and time of one SAT module.
Practice tests
10 full-length tests that adapt between modules, each with an estimated 400 to 1600 score.
Keep in mind
Our questions are original and aren't official SAT questions. Test scores are estimates. Practice tests, the daily set, and progress tracking need a free account.
